Telephone Advice

If you need telephone advice from the GP please phone in the morning and leave your number and the nature of the enquiry, unless you feel it is embarrassing or personal. This allows the ‘on duty’ GP to call you back sometime in the day when he or she is free. If you wish to speak to a GP who is not on duty, leave a message with the receptionist. These calls may take some days to respond to as the GP involved may not be at work for some time after your call.

If the patient is unable to answer the phone or misses the call from the GP then it is the responsibility of the patient to phone back if the call is still required.
