Dr Kirsty McKellar
Born on the Isle of Lewis, Kirsty attended Glasgow University, qualifying 1987 MBchB, DCH, MRCGP, DRCOG and met her husband Angus there. After doing GP training in the Western Isles, they both worked in a rural mission hospital in Nepal for 8 years before returning to the Hebrides with their 4 children in 2002. At the age of 56, Kirsty is still continuing to work on her Gaelic learning!
Dr George Craig
George has been a GP for 32 years after training in Glasgow. Most of his career has been in Edinburgh and his main medical interests are diabetes, ophthalmology and dermatology. He and his wife Alison have two children and two young grandchildren. They all love the history and the beauty of the Isle of Harris. George enjoys cycling, travel and language-learning.

The Community Nursing Team is led by Senior Charge Nurse Joyce King, two Staff nurses Christine Matheson and Chrisalda Morrison and one Health Care Assistant Christine Macaulay.
Sarah Maclean is our Advanced Nurse Practitioner, she runs clinics in the mornings. She is also a smear taker.
Administrative staff
Marie Macaskill is our Practice Manager and also one of the Practice Complaints Officers. She will be happy to hear your complaints or suggestions – both good and bad. She also works on reception and covers dispensary.
Jenny Maclennan works in the dispensary on Monday, Thursday and Friday.
Erica Macrae is our dispenser who works Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Janette Sutton is our Finance Manager and also works on reception.
Margaret Morrison carries out New Patient Health Checks, ear syringing, histofreeze, ECGs, spirometry and asthma reviews. She also works in the office and covers dispensary.
Janice Macleod works in the office and covers dispensary.
